A scene from my novel: Emma, after being told to dress as a boy, escapes to Vincent Dell's old factory, to find work. When she arrives she finds herself being forced to line up in a military fashion with the rest of the boys working there. A person comes walking through the doors and Emma finds it completely peculiar that this person is none other than a man dressed in women's clothing. It turns out this person is the one in charge of the entire factory and it is inevitable, the fact he picks her from the crowd to taunt...
